Wow finally. These phone industry execs are just as slow and out of touch with reality as music recording industry was throughout the 00's (and still to some extent today).
Instead of fighting new technology and alienating people, they need to embrace it and make money on it. How hard is it to realize that all you need to do is charge people more for data on their plans and let them use VoIP all they want.
Texting and data, that's where money is and will be made, not voice. It's not 1960 anymore.
